What five years can do...

I saw this on somebody elses blog and decided I would do it as well....

Five years ago I was dating Chantry. I had just finished up one year of school and was getting ready to move to Snow College. I hung out a lot with my friend Keshia that summer. We had a lot of fun. We did some funny things like ride wheelchairs up and down main street, ride our bikes to Comfort Inn from Keshia's house (which was a long ways), we sold some drugs (which was only sugar in a bag) to some guy standing outside the bar. I had planned on finishing my associates at Snow and then go on to another college to get my Master's in accounting. By the time I was done with that second year in accounting, I decided that is not what I wanted to do. I had not really thought a whole lot more about the future. Things were so uncertain then.

Five years from now I see myself being a stay at home mom to two (maybe three) kids. I see myself doing almost exactly what I am doing now, but hopefully making more money doing it. I love transcribing, and hope it works out that I can do it long term. Channer will be 6 1/2 by then. CRAZY!! I guess I will be dropping him off and picking him up from Kindergarten. I hope by then I could maybe be making enough money that Chantry can take some time to start his own business, like he has always wanted. I see us being more active in the church and me at least taking my kids to primary, if nothing else. I love not knowing what is going to happen, but I would love to see a glimps into the future. I wish I would be able to know what the world would be like for teenagers and kids. It is so scary to think of having children and raising them in such a world. In five years, I also want to think that I would be closer to my dad (maybe that is more of a goal). I hope to have made a few new friends, while at the same time getting closer to the ones I already have.

Last, but not least, in five years I see Chantry and I being more in love than ever. I feel like I fall more in love with him everyday. I love him so much more than the day I married him, and I never thought that was even possible. Hopefully by then we can go on a cruise or some kind of vacation, just the two of us. I have always wanted to go on a romantic vacation.

Campin at Yankee Meadow

We had such a great weekend camping, despite the rain and the mud. We went up Friday at about 2:00 and met most of Chantry's family at Yankee Meadow. That was the first I had been up there, and I loved it. It was so pretty. Channer had so much fun. He wore his first helmet. I though it would be way too big for him, but it was actually squishing his cheeks, which was so cute! (see pics below). All the girls road down together on Saturday to go to my sister-in-law, Stachia's, bridal shower. It was a lof of fun. The guys kept the kids and they went for a four wheeler ride. Channer is loving being able to go on the four wheeler so much. Everytime we stop he says "I want more". When we got back Saturday night Marcia cooked us a great meal. She did dutch oven BBQ ribs and potatoes. Hmmmm. We had a good time that night talkin around the fire and just enjoying family time. It rained most of the weekend and everything was soooo muddy. Channer was so dirty, I should have taken a picture right before we were ready to go home, cause he was so filthy. Chantry had a good time with his brothers and dad. They shot their bows and rode the four wheelers. I had a great time with the family as usual. Just cant wait for our next camping trip (which I think will be this weekend). Here are some great pictures below of our great weekend. Make sure you check out the background in most of them, cause it was so beautiful up there.

GIRLS WEEKEND AT FISHLAKE

For my sister's 30th birthday all she wanted was for all the sisters, sisters-in-law, my mom, and a couple friends to go to Fish Lake and have an all girls weekend with no kids. I was in some major need of some sister time. It has been forever.

So Friday I left Cedar and met my mom and Marie in Richfield. We left Richfield at about 2:00. When we got up there we just checked in to our cabin, which by the way was really nice!! We started right off by playing some Dance Revolution on the Wii.

Sarah and Yumei Dancin

After Pateresa and Malia got there we made dinner. It was my mom's, mine, and my sister Marie's turn for dinner. We made chicken enchaladas, yummy!! After we ate dinner we started scrapbooking. Everyone said they were going to stay up all night, but I think everyone but Malia was in bed by about 2:00. Malia stayed up until 5:00 (crazy girl).

Malia and I

Saturday we woke up to a yummy breakfast that Sarah and Mandy cooked, breakfast caserole, crossiants, and yummy fruit. We had such a great day. I dont know where the time went though. Heidi did my makeup and I did her hair.

We scrapbooked most of the day. We played some games throughout the day and just enjoyed every ones company. Malia and Pateresa made some yummy chicken tortilla soup that night and then we played "What if..." and "Have you ever.." Lets just say I may know more than I want to about my sisters now, but it was fun!! We took Yumei "snipe" hunting at about two in the morning. Malia freaked out because a deer ran out in front of us, and then everybody was just trying to scare her more. It was way fun. Everybody started going to bed and Malia and I stayed up until about 4.

Sarah and Heidi playing Guitar Hero!

Sunday came way too fast. We had to be out of the cabin by 11:00. So we just cleaned up and got ready to leave. Most of us went and ate lunch at the Bowery before leaving. It was so hard to say goodbye after such a good weekend.

All the girls!!

I got all my sisters and me!

Fun Weekend

It was a really fun weekend. My mom came to visit. She got here Friday at about 1:00. Channer was sleeping when she got here, so after he woke up we went to Viors and had lunch. Then we visited a few of the quilt shops here. Friday night Chantry made us dutch oven chicken and potatoes hmmm yummm!

Saturday morning Chantry went rabbit hunting and my mom, Channer, and I just got ready and ate breakfast. As soon as Chantry got home we went to the Renaissance Fair. It was a little weird, but fun, I guess. Then we went and had lunch at La Fiesta. On the way home, we saw this Jeep at a yard sale and so my mom bought it for Channer...only $10, can't beat that and Channer loves it.

At 2:00 my mom and I went and saw Fiddler on the Roof at the Shakesperian Festival. It was sooo good. I cant believe I have lived here for 4 years and have not gone to one play.

After the play, we went and met Chantry and Channer at the car show. They had a lot of booths and some awesome cars to look at, so it was a lot of fun. We just went home and ate dinner, but we could not end our day without going to Dairy Queen to get a blizzard.

Sunday morning we went to the park. I tried all morning to get Channer to take a picture with my mom, but he wouldnt so I had to trick him and take his picture in the back seat of our truck.

We went to Park Discovery and Channer loved it. There were so many things for him to do there, we could spend a whole day.

He even got dad to swing with him.
For lunch we met my Uncle Ron and Aunt Crys at Applebees. It was really nice to get to visit with them. My Uncle Ron wanted to take us to show us The Happy Factory, so we went and got a tour and went home. It was already time for my mom to leave. I am sure glad I get to spend next week with my mom too, or I would have had a really hard time with her leaving this weekend. It was a mom weekend that was way past due!!

PS: I had to add this photo cause it makes me laugh. Channer's pants kept falling down.

Gleave Reunion and the 4th of July

This weekend was so much fun. We went over to Pine Lake on Thursday and camped one night, then we went to Antimony for the day of the 4th. We watched the parade and there were more horses than people in it, but Channer loved it lol. We went and had lunch at the park. Channer raced in the races and he won for the one year olds (there were only two haha). We stayed and roasted hotdogs by Otter Creek and watched the fireworks.

We went back up Friday night to the Gleave reunion at Pine Lake. It was a lot of fun. Channer became Grandpa's best friend.

Channer loves to camp. He loved the Gleave reunion too. They had a talent show, and did races and had a pinata. We camped until Sunday. It was fun to spend time with the family. We did not want to come home. We would love to camp for a month.
