Glad to have Daddy Back!!

We are so glad that hunting season is over. It has been fun, but we were so ready to have our daddy back. This weekend was a lot of fun. We got to spend it all with daddy. Friday we taught Channer how to ride his bike. My friend Karolee gave him this bike. Her little boy only rode it a few times and already outgrew it. Doesn't he look stinkin' cute in his helmet and pads?!?

Saturday morning we went to a sheep parade!! I know weird right? It was the weirdest parade I had ever been to, but Channer loved it.

Saturday afternoon we decied to go for a Rhino ride. We rode up Bumblebee, which is over by New Harmony. I had never been over that way, so it was a nice ride. Channer loved it too.

Sunday was not such a great day for me. I was sick all day....not sure if it was pregnancy sick or what...but it was no fun!!! I was soooo glad Chantry was home though to help me with Channer. Everytime I stood up, I thought I was going to die (not really, but you get the point).
On another note...I felt the baby move for the first time on Saturday. I have only felt it a few times since, but I LOVE that feeling. It is starting to be a little more often, so hopefully soon it will be kickin my ribs and everything haha. I go to the doctor tomorrow and he will set my date for my ultrasound to find out what I am having. I cannot wait!! Just thinking about what I am going to have has made me think about baby names a lot too. Here are some that Chantry and I can agree on. Please vote for the one you like the best.

Brag Session!

I am just so proud of my little boy. I may be a little prejudice, but I think he is a smarty pants!! He knows almost all of his letters by looking at them and he knows all of his colors. I took a couple videos to share! Don't forget to turn off the music at the bottom so you can hear my cutie!

Painting Pumpkins

Channer went and picked out a pumpkin for him, mom, and dad yesterday. He was so cute, I wish I would have had my camera with me when he was picking out his pumpkins, cause he thought it was sooo cool.

Anyway today we decided to paint the pumpkins. This is the first time I have allowed Channer to paint, so he was a little hesitant at first, but it did not take him long to dig in and start making a mess. I was intending on painting the two bigger pumpkins, but Channer got to them first...so he painted all three. He had a blast though and I think he did a great job. Even though it was a lot of work cleaning him and the mess up, it was worth seeing how excited he got. Maybe next year we will attempt carving.

Tagged by Ashlee

I was tagged by Ashlee, and you are supposed to download the fourth picture out of the fourth photo file. Oh and you are supposed to leave a description. Good luck! I tag Amanda, Malia, Pateresa, Sarah, and Megan.
This is Channer and Brylee riding the plane at Lagoon this summer. We went there for our Nielsen Family Reunion this year.

A Visit from My Mom and Sister

I had a fun weekend with my mom, sister, and her two girls. My sister came to do a Pampered Chef party, but we had a fun time hanging out as well. They got here Friday and we just relaxed at my house and made dinner at my place. They got a motel and so they left and went to the motel for the night. I went and met them the next morning for breakfast and then we went shopping for a little while. After we ate lunch, it was already time for the party, so we brought the little kids over to Veronica's and she watched them during the party (thanks V). After the party, we went to St. George and ate at Olive Garden. We were going to go shopping, but somehow ended up on the wrong end of St. George, so just got on the freeway and headed back. It was already late so my mom and the girls just went to the motel for the night. Channer must have had a fun day cause he was out within 10 minutes of them dropping us off. Sunday was a fun day. We went and met them for breakfast again and then went to Park Discovery. The kids loved it. They all three play so well together. Channer loved playing with his cousins. He has not stopped talking about them since they left. Everytime he hears a car outside he says, Grandma? Sarah? Rylee? Jordyn? Poor kid needs them to visit more often. The time went by way too fast. After eating lunch at Applebee's it was already time for them to go home. : ( We had a great time though. Thanks for visiting!!

Here is a slideshow of some pics I took over the weekend. I kept forgetting to take pictures though.

Chantry was hunting all weekend. I missed him a ton. I know I keep saying this every blog I write, but I am in some desperate need for some Chantry and Me time.

A Few of My Thoughts....

I have been wanting to post a blog for a long time about random thoughts that I have and just what goes on in our life at the Brindley home. Channer just went down for a nap and Chantry is hunting, so this is the perfect time. This is probably going to be long and boring, but it is mostly for my sake and my memories, so I am okay if you dont want to read :)

Channer is doing so many fun things right now. I have said since the day he was born, every month, that this is my favorite age, but then he gets funner. He is starting to watch TV shows, and I love it. It gives me a minute or two to get something done and he loves the learning shows, so he is learning from them. I love that he will come and lift up my shirt and talk to the baby. He tells the baby "I love you" and "play with me". It is so cute. I love that he talks on the phone all the time. If you ask who he is talking to it is always Grandpa. He loves his grandpa. They became pretty good buddies during the hunting season. Whenever I ask where grandpa is, he says hunting, that is where he is going to think grandpa always is. He loves loves loves cheese. Everytime I ask him what he wants for breakfast, lunch, or dinner...he says cheese. Whenever we are in the car Channer is so observant. He tells me every color, car, bus, tree, slide, hill, person, bike, etc. that he sees. I have to repeat what he says or he will say it over and over again. I sometimes get annoyed of it, but then I have to sit back and think of how cute it is, and then I just smile. Channer is really good at making me smile or laugh. He seriously is soooo fun right now. For anybody who has or has had a two year old, you know what I am talking about. He is just starting to talk a ton and making sense to everyone, so now he is starting to say things that just make me laugh.

I have been so blessed to be home with Channer for the last 10 months. I am so glad I am able to be home with him. There is not a day that goes by that he does not do something amazing and I think to myself, 'I would be missing this right now'. Not only do i have the best job of being home with Channer all day, but I LOVE my job. I really love transcribing. I know it sounds boring and useless, but I love it. I love the two people I work for right now. I am hoping to stay where I am for a long, long time. I am finally starting to feel like I am making consistent money too. I really love to share my love for being a transcriptionist with everyone, becuase of how happy it has made me!! If I could do that for just one person, it is worth me telling people about it.

Chantry has been hunting a lot. I usually dread hunting season every year, cause I have a really hard time being away from Chantry. This year, I still had a hard time being away from Chantry, but I decided to have a really good attitude about it and take the time to do some things I wanted to do. I have had the chance to visit with my sisters a lot and hang out with a few of my friends who I had not seen in ages. I can see that hunting is something that Chantry loves and the best part about it is that it gives him time with his dad and brothers. They have taken me a few times and I can just see how important that fatherly bond is and I love to see them doing it. It has made me reflect a lot on my relationship with my dad. I know that is something I need to work on, and I hope there is not a day that I regret that I never took the chance to get to know my dad better, but I am afraid there will be. I am really going to try and make better goals and more time for my family.

I guess my main reason for this blog, or even blogging at all, is because I think it would have been really cool to read back on a blog if my mom had done one. I would have loved to see what we did on a day to day basis, what her hobbies were, and how she felt. I even would have loved to read about what shows she watched, what books she was reading, or what she cooked for dinner or what kind of bottling she did. When I read other people's blogs I think about those little things I would have like to know about my mom and our family. So I guess one day I am just hoping that my children can look at our family blog and see what fun things we did and our likes and dislike. I guess this is more like a journal for me, since I am really bad at writing in a journal.

I just had a birthday last week and turned 25, I know, scary right? Chantry made it such a special day. When I was pregnant with Channer I had these brown shoes that dont have a back on them that I could just slip my feet in. I wore them literally every day, once flip flop season was over. Well I have been looking everywhere for some shoes like them and could not find them anywhere, well Chantry found some. I love them!! He gave me a CD, a new watch, a necklace...and my favorite were the two cards he picked out from him and Channer. I love cards and the ones he got this year topped them. I seriously would be happy without anything else if I get a card. Cards can just say so much!! That is why, if you get a card from me, know it has meaning, cause I either make them to fit you or spend HOURS looking for the perfect one.

Well I guess I have gone on enough about what is on mind, but I just wanted to say how thankful I am for all my great family and friends I have surrounding me. I get attached to people and have a hard time letting go, so even you good old friends from high school are thought about often. I have the best family ever and am so grateful for my great sisters and sister-in-laws that I have. I love spending time with all of you. I hope that this next year will allow me to spend more time with my family and friends. We just need to take a minute sometimes and reflect on all the good around us (especially with the economy being the way it is). Love you all!

Fantastic Weekend and The Children's Museum

I had a fantastic weekend. I had the opportunity to go to Tooele and spend time with my sister Pateresa and her family. It has been a long time since I have made a visit just for fun! I got there Friday and we went to a botique. Then we went and rented me movies. She made me dinner (which my request was roast beef tacos, which is a great meal we grew up on, but Chantry hates). Then we watched 27 Dresses. I actually stayed awake through a whole movie for the first time in FOREVER.

Saturday morning we woke up and went to some yard sales. The weather was kind of bad, so they were not that great, but I did find some great deals on children's books, so I was excited. Between the books I bought at yard sales and the ones Aunt Pateresa gave us, Channer is set for quite a while.

Saturday afternoon we went to the Childrens Museum at Gateway. We met my brother Alan and his family over there. It was soooo fun. Channer loved it!!! Here are some cute pics I stole from Pateresa and Malia (thanks).

Garrett delivering the mail...he looked so cute.

Brylee and Garret making their craft.

Channer and the giant leggos.

Kenzie and Channer playing in the water.

Garrett, Kenzie, and Channer still loving the water.

Brylee and Garrett made the perfect news anchors.

Channer loved the magnetic walls they had. They had an ABC all that he could have played at for hours.

I think this was one of Channer' favorites. He got on it several times.

Brylee was soooo cute in the grocery store....and I wish I had a picture of Garrett at the check out stand, cause he was hilarious.

They had such a good time. Channer loved the horse and the grocery store. We went shopping for a little while in the mall and then headed back to Tooele. We went to dinner at the Chinese Buffet and then went back to Pateresa's to watch another movie. We watched "Over My Dead Body". It was way cute. I stayed awake through another movie, surprisingly.

Sunday we got up and had breakfast and just visited until about lunch time, and then Pateresa took me to Applebee's for my birthday (thanks).

Then....it was time for me to go home. It was sad and the time went by too fast. I did not want to go home.

The drive home went well. Channer did not sleep at all, which I was surprised, but he was REALLY good the whole time. I listened to the last session of General Conference on the way home, so that was kind of nice.

I missed Chantry a ton and was excited to see him when we got home (he went hunting with his dad and brothers in Antimony).

Thanks Pateresa for letting me visit, can't wait to do it again.

Doctor Appointment Update

I went to the doctor yesterday and everything seems to be going really well. I got another ultrasound and heard the heartbeat. I wish Chantry could get off and come to these appointments with me. He is for sure making it to the next one, cause they are going to schedule the ultrasound to find out what we are having. He still said by the look of the in-office ultrasound it looks like I am measuring two weeks later, so he talked about changing my due date to April 16. He said it is not official until I go get my ultrasound in the radiology department, cause he said it is more accurate. I hope it does not change, but I guess a baby is going to come when it comes, so a due date does not make that much of a difference. I got a couple more pics, but I still cannot get my scanner to work. Well it looks like in 4-6 weeks I will be finding out if it is a boy or a girl. Whahoo!

THANKS MALIA

Thanks so much for the new cute background. You are so creative and smart!! The only problem is that you are going to have to help me with all my backgrounds now. :)
