Welcome Chestyn!!

I could have not asked for a better experience. I was scheduled to get started at 2:00 am on April 16th. We were sooo excited that of course we could not sleep at all before we went. We went and dropped Channer off at his Aunt Chantell's at about 9:00 so he could sleep over there. We went in to the hospital at 2:00 and I started having contractions. When they hooked me up to the monitor they were about 4-5 minutes apart and getting stronger with each one. So she gave me a vaginal pill to thin the cervix and they just got stronger from there. At about 7:00 my doctor came in and broke my water and checked me and I was only at a 4+. Within minutes after him breaking my water, I was having contractions 1-2 minutes apart and they were really strong. The nurse asked when I wanted my epidural and since I was only at a 4, I felt like a wimp, but I said whenever is good for me. Well they gave me an epidural and I was already at a 7. A few minutes later I told the nurse I felt like I was ready to push and she just kind of said okay I will call the doctor in a little bit, your probably not quite ready....well I just kept telling her I needed to push, so she checked me and sure enough I was ready. My doctor was there within a couple minutes. It was not long after that I was looking at my little baby boy. I really could have not asked for a better experience. Since my labor was 24 hours with Channer, it was so nice to only have a 6-7 hour labor.

PROUD GRANDPA

OUR NEW FAMILY OF FOUR

MY THREE BOYS
PROUD GRANDMA

Channer loves his brother. I really think he is going to do okay with him. I am sure I will have to deal with a few fits here and there, but really he would rather play with his tractors and cars than bug his brother. He has already gotten a little jelous a couple of times, but so far, so good.

I dont want to speak too soon, but so far he is such a GOOD baby. He has slept really good the last two nights at home and is a much better eater than Channer ever was. He looks soooo much like Channer and since he is using a lot of the same clothes I am going to have to be really careful to write dates. I will have to do a post later and compare a few pictures of Channer and Chestyn...I cannot believe how much they really look a like.

Also, I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has come by to visit, for the gifts, meals, etc. I especially want to thank Aunt Chantell for taking Channer and helping us so much. We really do appreciate everything you do for us, wouldn't know what to do without ya.

My Belly!

This is a just a couple of hours before I went to the hospital to have our baby...huge!!

Easter Weekend 2009

This was the first weekend since we have been married that we did not go camping on Easter weekend. It was kind of a bummer (especially since we have no baby yet), but we still had a BLAST!! Saturday morning we woke up and took Channer to the Enoch Easter egg hunt. Channer loved it.

We did not want to just waste the day at home, so we decided to drive to Mesquite where all of Chantry's family was camping. I am glad we did cause Channer got to have ANOTHER Easter egg hunt and play with all of his cousins and I did not feel as guilty for making it so we could not go camping this year.

I had such a hard time getting my boys to want to go home. Channer was having so much fun running around, getting dirty, playing in the dirt, and riding 4-wheelers and of course Chantry had too much fun playing too. I had a great time visiting with everyone and it sure beat sitting at home all day wishing I were having a baby.
On the way home, we stopped in St. George and went to Pirate Island Pizza. I thought it would be a lot cooler than it was, but it was fun for Channer I guess. He had fun playing on the slide and getting tickets in the arcade.

Easter Sunday was a great day. I cannot believe I did not take pictures of Channer getting his Easter basket, but I didn't. He loved it though and got a couple movies, some flip flops, which he now calls his "cool shoes", and of course lots of candy. We had a pretty uneventful day the rest of the day. We just hung out at home, played in the yard, and relaxed. I was hoping to share the holiday with another little boy, but it was lots of fun having just Channer this year, so it could be a lot of fun for him.

I had a doctor's appointment last Thursday and was dilated to a 3. If I dont have the baby by Thursday, I am getting started at 2:00 a.m. So at least there is light at the end of the tunnel and I know I will have a cute baby boy in my arms by the end of the week.

Another fun night at the Veater's

We went to the Veater's home again last night. We had such a good time. We did an Easter egg hunt for the kids and Tawnya made some yummy tacos. Channer had a BLAST playing with all the other little kids. He made out well with the Easter egg hunt too. I am so excited for Easter this year because Channer is at such a fun age. He had so much fun finding the eggs and he was a little slow on getting to them because he though he needed to open each one right then to see what was inside. Thanks again Tawnya and Sandy for having us over. PS: Dont mind my big fat belly in all the pics.

Here are a few random pictures from the last week. Channer tried my favorite candy, Fun Dips, for the first time and he LOVED them as much as I do, maybe even more. He loved that it made his whole mouth colored and now he keeps asking me for the "color-dip-stuff".

Channer is obsessed with chapstick and so unfortunately we go through a lot of it.

The other night grandpa came over for dinner and to watch fights with Chantry. Channer had to eat on this stool so that he could watch the fights with grandpa too. Grandpa was laughing pretty hard at Channer cause everytime somebody got knocked down Channer would yell "oh man". He is becoming quite a grandpa's boy! Also Channer loves this hat and jacket. He pretty much has to wear it all the time, guess it is better than being completely naked!

FIRST CAMPING TRIP OF THE SEASON

We have been having camping fever for some time now and finally decided to go. We bought another trailer a couple of months ago and were so excited to use it. At last minute on Friday we decided to go to Sand Hallow. I had planned to potty train Channer that weekend, so I was glad for an excuse to get out of it :)

Our good friends the Knights came with us. We had such a good weekend and the weather was PERFECT!! I was glad we got to go since we are going to miss Easter this year. Channer had so much fun playing with the boys. I was starting to rethink the whole camping trip idea when we got there Friday night because I was sooo exhausted and sore that I thought for sure I was going to have a baby, but by morning I was feeling great and was so glad to see such good weather.

The kids loved playing in the sand and we buried the kids (even Jason). I can tell this is going to be a fun year camping because Channer was soooo fun this trip. He loved getting dirty. When we first got there Friday night, he asked to go to sleep. I usually set up the pack and play and he has never slept on a bed, but I decided to make out one of the beds and make him a bed and he loved it!! He was so excited about something new that he went right to sleep and slept the whole night.

On Saturday Jason and Chantry took the older kids fishing and Michele and I took Kambree and Channer for a ride so they could take a nap. Of course, I captured this cute picture of them snoozing.

I am so excited for camping this year, even though it might be a little harder with a newborn. I know that Channer and Chantry will have a great time together while I hang out with Chestyn in our trailer.
****I had a doctor's appointment this morning and NO CHANGE!! I am just planning on this baby coming over Easter weekend when the family is camping and Chantry cannot take a lot of time off work.
