Phone Pictures

Every now and then I just like to add the pictures that I have taken on my phone recently. Although they are not the best quality, I snap some cute ones and they are taken for more of our just every day things that we do. This is Stetson and Channer watching TV. These two cousins get along sooo well. I love having him over. They play so well together with rarely a fight. I love my Chestyn's personality. Seriously lots of laughs everyday because of this boy.
I can't even remember when this was, but they must have had a fun day because they were zonked.
We love Park Discovery. The kids could play for hours, but it makes me nervous going there unless I have other adults to go with me because I feel like it is so big I could lose my kids.
Another one of those trips to Cal Ranch. Channer asks to go there ALL the time and if you ever ask him what he wants to do, his reply is most likely "Go to Cal Ranch."
My three boys!!
Chestyn scares the crapola out of me when we go to the park. He will go on the highest slides and not think twice. He climbs on everything and tries to keep up with the bigger kids.
Not sure where we were here, but Chestyn wanted to wear this goofy hat.
Naked em!
Chestyn is my crazy boy. I have to yell at him for stunts like this at least a dozen times a day. I am about to throw my kitchen tables and chairs right out the door because I am tired of him dragging the chairs to climb up to everything....especially turning on water.
This was from quite a while ago. We took a little hike with the Hahn family.
My good looking boy.
This weekend was fun. Friday after we got done with work we went to couples Bunco at Lauren's house. Only three couples made it this time, so we just played cards instead, but had a good night.

Saturday, I went to my friend, Angela's, baby shower. I got to see the good old Water's girls that I haven't seen in a long time. They lived two houses away from us and it was basically my second home growing up.

Sunday, we made a trip to provo to get Chantry a new Jeep and spent the evening testing the Jeep out with the Veater family. All in all, it was a great weekend, but just like every weekend it went by WAY too fast.

I think of things throughout the day that I want to blog about...funny things the boys say or do, other things or people I want to blog about, etc., but when I sit down to blog, I forget what I was going to blog about, so I guess i need to write them down.

My toothless boy.

The following days after Channer found out he had to have his tooth out, we pumped him to be excited. He was NOT at all excited about it at first. Then, he decided it would be cool to be like his friends Ryann and Brodie who are losing their teeth right now and to have a visit from the Tooth Fairy.
His face was so swollen on Saturday. His eyes were swollen and got all bruised up. It was sad. The swelling finally started to go away Sunday.
He did so well at the dentist. I hated seeing him sedated, but I am sure glad that he doesn't have to remember anything about getting his tooth pulled.
He was so happy the next morning to find that the tooth fairy had came and she left five $1 bills. I am sad to have his tooth out. I won't lie. Of course, he is still as cute as ever, but he is not supposed to be toothless for two to three more years. I feel like a horrible mother, like maybe there was something I could have done to save that tooth, but the dentist insured me that it there really was not much I could have done with a split tooth like that. When they get sealed off they are more prone for bacteria and infection :(
I do love my cute toothless little man :)

My poor baby!

My poor Channer complained about his teeth hurting on Monday and made a nice little comment to us about how he needs to go to the dentist because he wants to play with the trains. So, both Chantry and I were not sure if his teeth really hurt or if he was just playing us. Well he hasn't been sleeping good for the last few nights, but he doesn't wake up saying he is in pain, just cries. Last night at about 5:00 Chantry noticed that his lips were a little swollen. Channer was so tired and said he wanted to go to bed at about 7:00, so I let him. Well this morning he woke up with his face looking like a pumpkin. He was so swollen up, lips, cheeks, gums. Poor kid.

So, I got him in right when the doctor opened this morning, thinking it was something else, not his teeth, because this morning he wasn't saying his teeth hurt. Well it was a waste of a doctor's appointment just for them to tell me he needed to go to the dentist. The poor kid couldn't get into the dentist until 12:15. He was mostly sad about missing his preschool St. Patrick's party, but Chantry told him that if he stayed home from school he would take him to get a treat.

Anyway, we made it to the dentist and found out that the split tooth that Channer had fixed when he was 2 is now infected. Poor kid. They sealed it and filled it in hopes that they could prevent this from happening, but nope, it still got infected and now it has to be removed. So we are going Monday to have it done. They were going to attempt it today, but even seeing the metal squirty gun thing, Channer flipped, so they are doing it under sedation.

I just feel bad because if I would have taken him in Monday when he said his tooth hurt, maybe it wouldn't be swollen up right now. I want to cry everytime I even look at him. Poor thing. I don't know why I was so emotional, but the second he started crying at the dentist office, so did I. So the dentist said "Maybe we should do it Monday under sedation so it is better for you and him." Lol it is just a dang tooth, but I think the part that even makes me more emotional is that he is 4 and people already think he is 5. With a missing tooth, he is even gonna look older. I am not ready for that. Anyhow, just thought I would share my feelings. I will post more on Monday after we see how it all goes and my little boy is a toothless wonder haha :)

Stylish Blog Award!

I have been awarded the Stylish Blog Award by my friend Lisa, so thanks Lisa.

The Rules:
1. Thank the person who tagged you to do this.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself.
3. Award 7 blogging buddies this "Stylish Blogger Award".

So thank you Lisa!! I have been in a blogging frenzie and so it is fun to have something like this to get me back into the blog.

So for the facts.....I always have a hard time thinking of these things. lol.

1. I am a food lover!! I LOVE food!! It is no secret. I would rather work my butt off and eat what I want than to deprive myself of my favorite foods. I do love chocolate and a few candies, but that is not my big downfall...I LOVE yummy food. Ones with a lot of carbs. Freshly baked bread...dips...and my biggest love is for different salads.

2. I love to watch teeny bopper shows. Right now I am watching the whole series of "The Secret Life of an American Teenager" Chantry laughs at me and tells me they are for 14 year old girls, but I don't care. I also watch things like Real World, 90210, One Tree Hill, etc. Lame, but love them. Haha!!

3. I am optamistic, very! Sometimes I am a little naive to think there is not any bad in the world. Life is good and I try to only see good.

4. My husband has converted me to listening to old country. I used to not mind it a little, but still listened to what I call "my music" when I was in the car by myself. Well this last weekend when I went to Park City, I found myself listening to Don Williams the whole way and loving it. By my choice. I still love hip hop or alternative music, but old country is where it is at.

5. I wish I had a little OCD in me. I am clean and organized for the most part...I'm not a pig, but on the other hand a mess doesn't really bother me either. Of course I love a clean house and love things to be perfect, but I really don't have anxiety over it if it is not perfect. Sometimes I wish things did bother me a little more though.

6. I love laundry. I love everything about it. I love the smell of it. I love to put it in the washer, dryer, fold it....and don't mind puting it away. If I had more room, I would love putting it away. It is relaxing to me. I would trade anyone laundry to clean my toilets.

7. I hate the feel of cardboard. When I buy things that come in boxes, I get them out of my house as quick as possible or transfer them over to plastic containers. I hate the feel of newspapers too and quickly take my coupons out as fast as I can and discard the newspaper. I prefer to read news online. The coupons have a different feel than the newspaper, so they don't bother me.

Anyway, there ya go, seven interesting, yet useless facts.

Here is who I tag for my blooger award:

Good luck and have fun!!

The ultimate update

I have been such a blog slacker lately and then it overwhelms me to make updates. Hopefully, I can get work all on a schedule and update more frequently.

These pictures are from a couple of weeks ago, but I LOVE them. Channer and Chestyn read a ton and it is so cute. These pictures show just exactly how their personalities are opposite. Channer is always naked and Chestyn asks for jacket, socks, and boots first thing in the morning.

These pictures are from last week when we got about 10 inches of snow. I am so over the snow. I am so ready for spring. The boys love it though, so I deal with it. Snow later in the season isn't so bad either because it melts fast and when you do get to play in it, it is a lot warmer. We took the kids on the sled and went for a ranger ride. It actually turned out to be a fun weeekend.

Last weekend was our annual sisters' weekend. My sister-in-law, Malia, took charge this year and she made it lots of fun. We headed to Park City and stayed in an AMAZING cabin that belonged to one of Malia's family friends. I did not take pictures like I usually do, but it was a fabulous weekend. My sister, Pateresa, took tons of pics, so when she updates her blog, I will still some more.
Right before our weekend, my sister-in-law, Yumei, sent us all this email and it describes greatly how I feel about all of my sisters.
A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea and visiting with her mother.
As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter.. 'Don't forget your sisters,' she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. 'They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them..' 'Remember that 'sisters' means ALL the women... your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too.. 'You'll need other women. Women always do.' What a funny piece of advice!' the young woman thought. Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!' But she listened to her mother. She kept contact with her sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her mother really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, sisters are the mainstays of her life.. After more than 50 years of living in this world, here is what I've learned: THIS SAYS IT ALL: Time passes. Life happens. Distance separates. Children grow up. Jobs come and go. Love waxes and wanes. Men don't do what they're supposed to do. Hearts break. Parents die. Colleagues forget favors. Careers end. BUT.......... Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach. When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end.. Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...Or come in and carry you out.
Anyway, now back to our weekend. I met up with my sister-in-law, Heidi, in Spanish Fork and then we met everyone else at Cafe Rio in Park City. We had a wonderful lunch and then off to the outlets for some shopping. After shopping, we headed to the cabin where we stayed the rest of the weekend.
We did a lot of relaxing!

We played a lot of games, including card games, get to know you better games, and wii games. We ate like crap, but pretty much worked it off by doing Just Dance 2 and Zumba!

We played a super fun game with money. I didn't win any, but Malia, Pateresa, and Marie won...Marie one three times lol.
We of course got our matching jammies at Old Navy. We didn't take a ton of pics though. This is me and my three amazing sisters and mom. They tell me I have to change my hair back to blonde by the time we have another get together because I just don't fit in anymore :(

Seriously not to make you all jealous, but I have the BEST family EVER!! They are amazing. I love my special individual relationship that I have with every one of them. I love our group relationship that we all have together. I love that we all get a long so well and that we do not have to worry about anyone getting in a fight or having drama. We are exactly what a family should be when we get together. We laugh and cry together. We always learn more about each other and share childhood memories. I would not know what to do without them.

I love that my mom gets in and will be silly with us. I see a side to every one of these girls that I don't normally see. There is just something about getting together with a bunch of girls that makes you laugh over the dumbest things!! It sucks that you prepare yourself so long for the weekend and then it just flies. I do have so much fun while I am there, but both this year and last year I have ended up in tears on the way home because I just CAN'T wait to get home.
I love my family so much on all ends, siblings, in-laws, and especially my little family of four! I would not know what to do without them.
So our eight weeks is up....and guess what???? I won $50. I was sixth place. I only have 3 more pounds to go to reach my goal...and I actually think I have changed that goal to 5 more pounds, so maybe 8 more pounds to go. We will just have to see. This is the longest I have stuck to anything and I actually enjoy watching what I eat on the weekdays and splurgin on the's what works for me. Even if I only lose 1/2 to 1 pound a week. It was fun and thanks Linda for all of your hard work and keeping track of us each week. Congrats to everyone who stuck it through!
I have been so busy with work, but I think I am finally finding a balance and may be able to breathe soon. I have been far less than nice to my husband and kids the last few weeks with all of the here is to a better attitude!!!
