Fun with the boys!!

Even we when we stay home for the weekend, we can't actually "stay" home.  The Groovefest was in town, so we spent a lot of time there on Saturday listening to the music.  The boys loved it.  Chantry and I loved it too.  We are people watcher's (as I have mentioned before) and Groovefest was almost as entertaining as Freemont Street in Vegas.  LOL.

THe boys love when we stay home for the weekend because I let them sleep in the living room on Friday and Saturday nights.  It is too cute to see them get so excited.
Sunday we headed up to one of our favorite spots...Yankee Meadow....and did some fishing.  SOOO FUN!! I am not usually much of a fisher, but we were actually catching them and it was fun.  Maybe not so much for Chantry.  He spent the whole time baiting my hook and getting my fish off the hook because I would not do it.

The boys had a lot of fun and Channer realed in a couple fish.  He thought he was pretty cool.  He said to Chantry one time that he was catching all the fish and daddy hadn't caught any.  I laughed pretty hard, seeming as Chantry was doing all the work.

I love weekends with my boys....never want Monday to come when we are spending time together.

Happy Father's me!

It seems as though I got all the Father's Day treatment this weekend, not Chantry.  I seriously have the BEST husband ever!  I asked what he wanted to do for the weekend, it was his weekend.  Well, the weather was supposed ot be bad, so he decided camping was out.  So Saturday morning, he got up and started wacking away at my floors.  For Father's Day, I got new wood floors throughout my kitchen.  It was soooo much work and my husband spent HIS whole weekend working for me.  I felt so guilty all weekend.  The end results are perfect.  Thank you soooo much for all your hard work babe!

We had to chisel all 350 square feet of tile out.  I helped with a lot of that part and I was so sore, so I can't even imagine how Chantry felt after two days of working.  I could barely move Sunday and Chantry got my entire floor done.  I love the fact that when Chantry starts something, he does not quit until it is finished, but he practically kills himselff in the meantime.

It took all day Saturday to get the tile out and he started laying the wood down first thing Sunday morning....Father's Day!! Poor guy! I felt like a horrible wife.  We did take a break Saturday night and go to our friend Sandy's birthday party and to go to breakfast with his Dad Saturday morning, but besides that the weekend was pretty much all work.
Finishing up the last little bit in my pantry.

Doesn't it look GREAT!!!???  I LOVE it!!! I love the contrast of the cherry wood with my cream-colored cabinets.  I could not be happier.  He also did my entry way in the living room.
I also got new blinds for my sliding doors.
And a new ceiling fan to go over my computer desk to cool things down when I work.  I was SPOILED!!!
Now, I just need one of these to help me keep them clean.  Just kidding, I will not ask for anything for a long, long, long time!!!!
You truly are the best husband and father ever, Chantry.  I really appreciate everything you do for our little family.  Now, if your lift for your jeep would just get here, you could have your "real" Father's day present and work on something for YOU!! Then, I can stop feeling so guilty.

The boys pretty much played outside all weekend.  They are definitely ready for daddy time.  They kept asking me all weekend when dad was gonna be done so they could play with him.

I heart summer!!!

We are having a lot of fun this summer.  The kids are loving playing outside, staying up later, going to the park, riding bikes, etc.

****Chestyn cracks me up.  He loves to wear this helmet and Elmo backpack and I can't help but laugh when he has it on all day.
****We had a great time at Grandpa Van's birthday party last weekend.  I did not take any pictures, but we had such a good time.  The boys loved riding Aunt Roma's tractors and battery-operated 4-wheeler.  We didn't stay the night, just went over and back.  Aunt Chantell rode with us and the kids were sad when we headed home.

****Sunday, my mom surpised me and showed up.  We were just getting ready to head on the mountain and make some dutch oven, so we picked her up and headed on up the mountain.

****It was so good to see her.  She actually stayed for 2 nights.  We went to dinner at Ninja on Sunday night for her birthday dinner.  Monday, I had to work, but she went and visited her friend and brother.  Then we spent some more time together Monday.  My mom does not do that often, so it was so nice to have her here.

****The neighbors grandkid came over the other day.  Channer thought it was so fun to have "the neighbors" come over.  We don't have little kids in our neighborhood at all and sometimes he hears his cousins or friends talk about their neighbors coming over, so he thought it was pretty cool to have a neighbor come over.  I was listening to Channer and this neighbor (which I am not even really sure what his name is because he can't talk all that well), but Channer was talking nonstop (not like him) and telling him everything.  He was in Heaven with a new friend.  After Channer was talking, talking, talking, and talking some more...this little neighbor friend says "Are you smart or something?"  I about died laughing.  Channer's reply was "Ya, I can pretty much rhyme everything."  LOL.

****Channer has a new thing that he says that CRACKS me up!!! The first time he said it, I laughed forever.  He runs past you and says "I hope your hungry, cause you're gonna eat my dust."  I am sure he got it off some show, but it is really so funny!!

****My new favorite thing Chestyn says is.......Chestyn!!! We have tried forever to get him to say his name.  We could maybe talk him out of it a couple times in the last year, but this last month, he started saying it lots.  When we asked what his name was before, he would always say Channer.  Then after he turned two, I would ask what his name was and he would say 2.  Never Chestyn.
****I love House Party!!! I recently won the Expo Washable Marker party.  I got all this stuff for free:

That was after giving 8 sets of the stuff away and the boys using 2 sets.  I won the Pull-Up party not too long ago too and got lots of free coupons, Pull-Ups and potty videos.  So fun!!

****Summer is the BEST!!! I need to live somewhere that it is summer year round.  I have been loving a few morning runs.  I love that when Chantry gets home, it is light outside and we have time for Ranger rides, bike rides, walks, etc.  I love all the Snow Shacks being open and getting some shaved ice.  I love BBQs.  I love all the sounds of summer: kids playing, motorcycles, sprinklers, and even crickets.  LOVE SUMMER!!!

****I love my job!! I thought this 10-6 thing would be so hard to get used to.  I love working all day.  It is making the days go by so fast though.  I love staying up late with my husband without the stress of thinking about getting up at 4:00 a.m. to work.  I love having time in the mornings to exercise, shower, laundry, make Chantry's lunch, etc. etc all before I have to start working.  The kids actually have not minded much either.  They are learning to play better together everyday.  I have things set up so they can play in the backyard and I can see them while I am working.  It might be a little harder in the winter when they have to be entertained inside all day.

Chestyn's first night in his big-boy bed!

I snuck in this morning to get a picture of my cute boys sleeping.  Chestyn did so well for his first night in his bunk bed.  Channer thought it was fun going to bed last night with his brother too.  Love my boys!!!

I will have to say I was a little sad last night after putting them both to bed though.  My boys are getting big and I can't stop it.  Love their stage right now though.  They seem to get along better every day.

Memorial 2011

Chantry and I both had a 4-day weekend, so we took off Thursday after work and headed to Otter Creek. We got there in pretty much just enough time to set up camp and go to bed.   Chace and Stachia's family joined us on Thursday night too.

Friday morning we got up and it was super windy.  We headed down to say hello to grandma.  Then, we headed to Richfield to meet baby Taylor.  We spent most of the day in Richfield, then headed back to Antimony.  We enjoyed hanging out and having dinner as a family.  Again, it was pretty windy, so we just went and visited with Grandma and Grandpa and didn't do much for the night.  Canyon slept in our trailer and Channer thought he was soooo cool to have a sleep over.  :)

Saturday was actually a pretty nice day.  We had a big Ranger/4-wheeler ride planned, so I was so glad the weather wasn't too bad.  We rode up the mountain and had some lunch.  The boys always have so much fun on our big rides.  They get to ride with their cousins and when we stop for lunch, they have so much fun getting dirty and playing.  This time was no exception.  The snow is still melting like crazy so it is was so muddy and Chestyn fell right in the mud and was covered by the time we left.

I am pretty sure the "big boys" had just as much fun as the little kids.  They found every snow drift they could to play in.  We stuck a few times.

We made fun of the "covered wagon" most of the day.  The girls needed something to cover their heads and they didnt have a cover for their Ranger, so they put a sheet on it.  It was pretty entertaining when they would get going and the wind was blowing it up.  Looked just like a covered wagon.  HAHA.

This is a tree thta Chantry carved his name on in 2008.  It had fallen down and we used it as our bench most of the time.
We had such a fun day.  We went back to camp and the wind had picked up again.  We had planned to have a cookout at the lake, but ended up eating at Grandma's house and just visiting.

The kids loved staying in the trailer every night.  They slept so good too.  Sunday morning Chantry and I went to visit some friends and when we came back to camp, Dusty and Chace had packed up and left.  I guess they were sick of the wind.  We didnt want to camp by the lake by ourselves, so we pulled our trailer down to Marcia's house.

I am so glad we stayed because we had a lot of fun Sunday night.  We headed up Antimony Canyon and roasted hot dogs, made dutch oven potatoes, and enjoyed the company.  Charla and her family, Chantell, Ladd and Marnie, Grandma, Marcus and Keshia, and our little family had a fun night.  The kids loved roasting marshmallows and making smores.  It was so nice up there too, almost no wind.  Kind of felt like we got a little camping in that we wanted to do all weekend.

I stayed up late and played games with Chy, Tulsa, Beau, Blade, and Chantell.  Chantry was tired so him and the boys went to sleep early.  Even though the weather didnt really cooperate and we didn't "really" camp like we wanted to, we had such a fun weekend.  I love long weekends away with the family, no matter what we are doing.  I was not ready to come home Monday.
