Sweet Summer Time!!

I probably should have blogged about each month during the summer, because now this is going to be a HUGE blog post, but it what we have been up to this summer.

We made a summer bucket list.  We completed most of it, but not all, summer just got away from us, but we sure did have a great time.  Not everything I am blogging about on here is from the bucket list--I am just trying to catch up.

Our summer bucket list looked like this:

Play at every park in Cedar/Enoch.  We did not get enough time to do parks near enough this summer, but we did make it to 4 different parks.   I guess that one will have to be on our bucket list next summer to finish up.

Sumnmer bucket list-Play in the ditch at Canyon Park-

As you can see---the kids LOVE the ditch at Canyon Park.

We went and got shaved ice after we played at the park and the kids were so naughty.  When I got home, I found out they had been putting their shaved ice on Randi's head.  I told them we would not be going to get shaved ice again.  Channer wrote me this note the next morning.....
Love these pictures of Randi when I asked her if she ate all the cookies...she hid her head and said "no cookies"  and her face was covered in cookie :)

Summer Bucket List-Go to Kolob Canyon....It was so beautiful up there.  We just did a couple hikes.

These kids thought they were hillarious taking their socks and shoes off for Randilyn to tickle their feet...

Another park-  Cedar City Main Street Park....

Chestyn thinks he needs to wear his goggles and helmet everywhere....
Randilyn's first full piggies...

This little diva cracks me up...when I get her dressed in the morning she always says "nessie" (necklace) and "oo my hair" (do my hair)....this particular morning she did her own hair :)....and then said "picture, cheeeeese"

Everybody needs a backwards helmet to wear around the house...right??

Chestyn KILLS me!! Seriously! He cracks me up so much and makes life so much dang fun.  He likes to dress up as a cowboy.  He gets in all his duds, asks me to take a picture to send to dad and ask dad if he looks handsome.  This happens a lot.  This is usually around 8 or 9 in the morning and by 10 he says he is soooo hot and needs to get on some basketball shorts.  It is a good thing I love him or I would make him do all the laundry.  He is worse than a girl when it comes to changing clothes ;)

Randilyn has a million dolls and girl toys, but she would much rather play with the box of cars.
If the backwards helmet won't due, just throw on a bib and a cowboy hat...

These two love each other lots.  Channer sure puts up with a lot when it comes to this little girl.

Aunt Chan called and told me she wanted to take the boys on a date...they were lying around watching tv in their shorts...when I told them, they were back out in the living room all dressed up in about 10 minutes.  Then Chestyn asked me for some "smell good" (cologne) like daddy.

A morning in our bed...spoiled princess!!!
We went on a fun Razor ride with our friends Gary and Jamie and their kids and Joe and Natalie and their kids.  It was a lot of fun, until the down pour and we all got SOAKED.  It didn't ruin our day.  Joe and Natalie turned around and went home but we had a fun day at Duck Creek with Gary and Jamie and then rode back.

We were just a little muddy and Chestyn thought it would be fun to collect all the mud off his door and make a big mud ball....

This is why we call him Chessie Messie.....

Sometimes I am a fun mom....we like to go to this park, the Enoch City Park and play.  We played a good game of follow the leader and then I started exercising...Channer said he wanted to take pictures ;)

The kids loved palying follow the leader....Randilyn liked being leader the best....
Then we rode our bikes home :)
Whenever I do my hair, Radnilyn sits right at my feet.  The second she hears my blow dryer come on, she comes running in with toys and sits down.  I am going to miss this so much when she stops doing it.  She has been doing it long before she could even walk.

Summer bucket list-Family water fight.  Randilyn insisted on wearing this monkey hat with her swimsuit.  Just love her....
The kids and I got all the ammo ready while dad was fixing his truck.  After it was all ready the war was on.  Channer insisted it be kids against mom and dad.

This was my favorite picture of the evening.  Channer was in Heaven with this water fight.  He had waited for months to be able to do it and he was all smiles and grins and yet so serious about it the whole time.

Randi did not like it and we had to make rules of no getting her wet.....

They soaked me and I loved every minute of it.  This is a memory I will NEVER forget.  The joy on my kids' face made it worth every second.
We have been having a great time camping up at Uintah Flat.  We had never camped there before and now have camped there the last two weekends in a row and I honestly would not mind another trip there before summer is over.  It is close to Duck Creek (one of our very favorite places), so we enjoy going over there and having lunch and walking through the shops.  We got there late Friday and went for a night ride and the kids just had to sit in the little Razor, which I really want to buy them.....

The next morning we went and exploring and had so much fun. We have been up to Duck Creek a million times and had no idea half this stuff was right there.  We hiked up to Cascade Springs, The Ice Cave, and Mammath Cave.  So much fun!!!

Week #2 at Uintah Flats...

Randilyn's fits are out of control lately.  She lies on the floor and throws the biggest tantrums.  I gave in the first 500 times, but now I take pictures and ignore here (I know grandma is feeling really bad for her right now, but I am not).  I liked this particular day when she put on the fairy wings Aunt Chan bought her and laid by my computer and cried cause I would not let her run around with dad's screwdriver.

Life is good here at the Brindley home.  We are loving life and summer and sad it is almost to an end.  Love my little family and the memories we are creating!!!
