February 2016

February 1st-
Iron County had their first Snow Day in 61 years.  We got dumped on 12-15 inches.  I am not a fan of snow, but if it is going to do it, I like it to really do it.  The kids stayed home in their PJs all day and watched movies while I worked.  Chantry had to finally go buy a snow blower.  I tried to shovel, made it about 20 minutes before I was dying and it was barely a dent in our huge driveway.

February 5th-
Channer was chosen in his class to represent the 3rd graders for the school spelling bee.  Without even studying, he made it to the top 5.  Next year, he says he wants to study and see what happens ;)

He did great though and got out with the word "medicinal"- hard word.  I was so proud of him.  He is so shy and it was fun to see him in front of others and feeling confident.
I started working one hour extra Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday so that I can be off at 11:00 on Wednesdays.  I am loving it.  Extra time with Randi, extra time to clean house or grocery shop, time to go to lunch with my boys or volunteer in their classroom, time to make doctors and dentist appointments without asking for time off.  Randi is loving extra mom time too...
The weekend of February 20-21st, we went and spent the weekend with Pateresa and her family.  We had so much fun.  We met up Saturday and had lunch at Chuck A' Rama in Lehi, then headed to the Natural Curiosity Museum at Thanksgiving Point.  Such a fun cute place.  The kids loved it.  We spent a good 4-5 hours there and still did not see it all.

Saturday night we stayed at Pateresa's and stayed up late playing games.  So much fun!

Sunday, we headed over and saw Alan and Malia's new home.  Very pretty home and the kids had fun playing together.

Also when we were at the curiosity museum, Chestyn found a "cars for Carson" car.  He was so excited.  There have been several cars left around in memory of Carson Cheny, who passed away at just 5 years old.  He was so excited!

The kids have started wrestling.  They had their first  wrestling meet in Hurricane on the 27th.  They both lost their matches and were quite disappointed.  The only picture I have was with both the boys at the end crying.  HAHA!   Need to toughen them up again, last year they rocked!

On the 28th, we met up with Ladd and Maria and their bunch and rode to Toquerville Falls.  It was beautiful and we practically had the place to ourselves.  Fun day with the family!

That wraps our February! Just getting excited for spring :)
