December 2016

December was busy and full of fun and actually quite relaxing as well.  Loved every minute.

We started Light The World.  We made a chain with 25 acts of kindness or service and tried to do one every day.  We had to play catch up a few times doing 2-3 things in one day but it really helped us get in the Christmas spirit and feel Christ in our home.

Channer turned TEN!!!! I can hardly believe I have a kid in the double digits.  We celebrated by taking two of his friends and inviting his cousins to House of Jump in St George and going to Chuck A Rama.  He picked Cooper and Kade to take with.  Jeff, Sarah and her girls came, Grandpa Charley, Grandma Marcia T, Stachia and the girls and Ginger and the kids, Chy and Andrew and Chantell and Kim.  The Waters and Ortons joined us well.  I did not take even one picture- we must have just been enjoying ourselves!

The second weekend in December, we had our annual NFR trip to Vegas.  It was different this year without Marcus and Keshia (she will be having her twins next months, so they stayed home this year).  Jamie and Gary came this year with us and we had a great time though.  We met up one night with Tulsa and Brian and Wyatt and Kylee too.  We only went to the rodeo the one night and watched from The D the other nights.

Randi had her first actual dance recital.  I didn’t take any pictures of that either, cause well she stood on the stage and cried and I just sat there wondering what to do lol.

We celebrated Gradnpa's birthday and had him over for dinner.

We also hung out with Celina for her last night here the same night.  That time went so so fast and it is sad she has already moved home to prepare for her mission.

Randilyn had her preschool program- she had stage fright again.  She did try to sing a couple of the songs though, but cried.  Hope she can get over this stage fright thing soon cause she is so darling practicing at home.  It surprises me so much too cause she is NOT shy.

There was a nice snow storm the first day the kids got out for Christmas break.  They played out in the snow for hours with the neighbors.
Ang and Jason hosted a Christmas party for all our friends.  I loved having us all together.  The kids drew names and got presents for each other.  She had Santa come!! We had yummy food and loved spending time with my "Beardo Family".

I loved having Christmas Eve on a Saturday this year.  We were able to spend most of the day at Chantry's dad- after Chantry took me to Cal Ranch and got me my first concealed gun.

Grandma bought tubes and Chantry pulled the kids around.  That was all I took a picture of.  We had a great time though playing games and opening presents and eating yummy food with the Brindley bunch.

Then it was home to bed to wait for the big man to visit in the morning.

I really slacked in the picture taking.  Our Christmas morning was magical.  Our kids are at the best age.  We also simplified and only gave them a few larger gifts.  I loved how thankful the kids were and how simple this Christmas seemed.  The boys both got GPS Tracker watches that can call people, books, board games and clothes.  Randi got the magic doll she asked for, a princess tent, tea set, and karaoke microphone.

We spent Christmas Day at grandpas playing games and visiting some more.  We went to the movie that afternoon with Charla, Blade and Grandma.  Simple but lovely Christmas.

The last weekend of the year, we went sledding on Saturday and had friends over for a little get together.  We played games with the kids and all of us but Randi made it until midnight :)

2016 was such a great year for our family.  Yes, it brought some heartache saying goodbye to people we love very much. Yes, there were moments and times of not so good. Overall, it was an amazing year! I would have to say the best yet for our family.  So much joy!!

Here is to a fabulous 2017!!!
