April 2017

The Wednesday before Chestyn's birthday, we had a fun friend party.  He was insistent on a Princess Bride Party. I was a bit nervous because it is an 80s movie and I didnt think any of his friends would have seen it...turns out all but one of the 12 kiddos that came had seen it.

And I have decided if you give a boy a sword, the party will be a success....

Thursday, the 13th Randi got to go on a field trip to Lady Bug Nursery....

Friday, the 14th, Chestyn had his 2nd grade play....

Then we took off to celebrate Easter weekend at Sand Hallow with the Brindley Family.  It was a fun filled weekend as usual with all the family.  We also celebrated Chestyn's birthday (his birthday just keeps going)....

The week after Easter was spring break.  We took the Monday off to stay at Sand Hallow, Tuesday Stachia took the kiddos bowling and to play at her house....

On Wednesday, I took her girls hiking in Parowan and to see Grandpa and then hang out at our house..  So fun to have time with those girls...

Chestyn's first day of scouts was a great one.  They got to go to St. George to the Dinosaur Museum and to Pretzel Maker.  I was lucky enough to join them....
Grandma came over for her birthday and we got to all join her for lunch at the Pizza Factory.

Looking back at the pictures from that day I can just see Channer does not feel well...makes me said.  My momma heart knew something was wrong, but could not pinpoint it...

Well that next day at church we had a huge scare.  Channer turned completely green in color and was not coherent and wanting to pass out.  Scariest thing I have seen as a mom.  I always thought someone turning green was just in a cartoon but he was literally green in color.  At the church he had told us nothing hurt, but by the time we got him to the ER, he said his stomach hurt. (asking back now he remembers nothing at the church) :(  They did an EKG, Xray and blood work.  The only thing that was abnormal was his white count was high and his xray showed a lot of stool.  They were going to do a CT scan but decided to hold off and send us home and do a round of saline laxative.  He was backed up for sure.  He stayed home from school Monday and then went to school Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday just fine.  Friday, school called with another episode.  I dont know what to do about this kid and his eating habits.  We have started him on a fiber supplement and I am keeping an eye on him but something still does not seem right.  Poor thing....

Randi got her dance pictures and preschool pictures.  She was a stinker at both and took a lot of bribing...makes me nervous for her recital and graduation....

The boys have worked so hard selling Scout Expo tickets.  So cute to watch them go door to door and learn manners and Randilyn helped too....

Basement update...Chantry has been working so hard, despite his back being hurt and having injections and everything in between.  We got the boys into the basement on the last day of April.  Their rooms are so cute and the boys are loving it down there.  So he 100% completed three bedrooms.  He has the rest of the basement sheet rocked and I told him to take a break now for a bit, but he has still been down there working hard in the evenings, so I am sure it wont be long until it is all complete.

Wonderful month of April...
